Review
The latest issue of the new Magic story arc is here as we follow our band of planeswalkers as they continue their battle to get back into Ravinca, the once disjointed team are beginning to understand to achieve their goal they will need to work better as a unit rather than individuals, easier said than done with a group of rather large egos. Plans are set to make the process run smooth however things don’t always go to plan as hot headed Garruk no longer able to keep his deep lieing hatred under control sending the plans into chaos and putting the rest of the team in danger.
The creative team involved in this series must be fans of the iconic card game as the story perfectly brings to life, Jed Mackay writes a story that takes you deep into the Magic universe, even now the story has moved in a different direction it still captures your mind and brings an iconic universe from the card to the page.
Ig Guara once again provides the captivating illustrations that not only brings the story to life, it takes you deep inside the universe and makes the reader feel part of the story, something that childhood me dreamt about when playing the card game so reading these comics has reignited the love I once had for the universe.
Verdict
A perfect piece of storytelling that captures the mind and takes you on a magical journey. The first arc was one of my favourites at the time and now this second arc is definitely becoming one too.
