Power Rangers #15 is published by BOOM! Studios, written by Ryan Parrott, illustrated by Franceso Mortarino, coloured Raul Angulo and lettered by Ed Dukeshire.

Print copies will be available 19th January 2022 either directly from Boom! Studios or from your local comic book store. Digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

With the fate of Earth and the Zeo Crystal hanging in the balance, unexpected alliances are formed to stop the Empyreals and their master! On Earth, the Zord battles continue, culminating in the Omegazords finally coming together in a never before seen form! Will it be enough when all seems lost? And when every twist is revealed who will stand victorious in this pulse-pounding conclusion of The Eltarian War… and who will die?

    Review

The most anticipated comic event is heating up, with The Eltarian War heading towards its epic conclusion. But first, it’s time for the Rangers to stand up and be counted work together to rid Earth of the Empyreal threat once and for all. I feel like I have been waiting an eternity for this issue following the events of last month.

Witnessing the epic battle unfold was immense to read. From the start the Zord scenes were as fun to read as they are to watch on the TV series. The scale of Parrott and Mortarino’s creation on the page is incredible. When it looks as though all hope is lost and the Empyreal may win the fight, two Rangers get some much needed assistance in the form of something Ranger fans have never seen before…

Take a breath for a second as that is just one side of the battle. On the other side is the fight between Lord Zedd, Zordon and Zartus. This fight is personal and dates back before the Rangers were even thought of. There is a deep routed hatred and you can feel the emotion on the page as it unfolds. Whilst the Empyreal fight is exciting, it’s this fight that grips me more as it feels emotionally intense. You know there will only be one winner but there is an unlikely twist in the tale in the form of an unlikely alliance. That alliance makes the potential outcome all the more interesting.

When I say that Ryan Parrott is probably my favourite writer right now it’s no understatement, from the very first issue the story has pulled me further into the multiverse and intensified my love of the Rangers once more. Each issue has built up to this epic battle and hasn’t relented once the action has been non-stop, the writing has felt raw and true with probably every emotion played out on the comic pages. This is the comic story I have been waiting for and there is literally no better writer to be sat at the helm.

Franceso Mortarino illustrates Ryan’s words with such natural talent that it just feels natural to go through the pages and helps the story flow as each page enables you to open your imagination and step deeper into the Power Rangers world, the illustrations of every book so far have been stunning, it must be a difficult task to bring such an epic story to life but Franceso has done it in such a natural way that it feels just right and each time you see the creative team’s names on the cover you just know that you are holding something epic.

    Verdict

There was going to be no doubt that this issue would get full marks (if I could give more I would) An incredible story with epic scale artwork, bringing together one of the best story arcs I have ever read. If you haven’t yet got involved in this event you genuinely have to it is a story not to be missed, even if you’re not a fan of Rangers it is something that would probably appeal to most readers that enjoy and epic action story arc and if you are a Rangers fan then it goes without saying you definitely don’t want to miss this.
