Review
We are now deep in what is the war to end all wars, The Eltarian War potentially will change the course of the Power Rangers multiverse forever, Earth as we know it is under threat and time is rapidly running out. The Omega Rangers are the only hope to save what is left and battle the Eltarian invasion led by the Supreme Commander. This is the fight of their lives, unlikely alliances have been formed and actually look as though are working together for the greater good (for now!).
Zordon is back and has taken a new physical form and he’s ready to fight albeit fighting against what was once his allies, he fights for good and will fight for what’s right whatever the cost. The Battle that ensues is relentless and gathers pace rapidly time is running out can the Rangers save the universe in time?
The book from start to finish is probably the most intense comic I’ve ever read, each page was crammed with action getting the adrenaline pumping with each turn of the page. I will give no spoilers away but the ending is probably the most surprising and exciting endings I’ve seen. This story arc is by far the best Power Rangers storyline I’ve read and I’m looking forward to the next issue.
I’ve said before and I’ll keep saying it, having Ryan Parrott at the helm is a perfect choice, he has written so far a breathtaking arc that just gets better with every issue. The story moves along with a perfect pace that doesn’t give too much away but grips you throughout partner the writing with the expert artistic talents of Franceso Mortarino and the eye catching colours used by Raul Angulo this creative team together are by far the best in comics right now, each issue raises the bar an absolute pleasure to read.
Verdict
If there were more than 5 stars available then I would award them. By far my favourite comic of 2021 and I am definitely excited to see what is to come for the Rangers in 2022.
