In the annual event of Shueisha’s Jump Festa, My Hero Academia season 6 was announced to premiere in Fall 2022, revealed alongside a short teaser!
My Hero Academia, a Japanese manga shonen series written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi, follows the story of young up-and-coming hero Izuku Midoriya and his classmates as they battle both schoolwork and villains on their paths to become the world’s greatest heroes in the hero academy UA High.
Season 6 of the anime will be adapting the highly anticipated Paranormal Liberation War arc, which will see the previous five seasons worth of characters and build-up come together in an epic battle!
The teaser shows us only small snippets of what’s to come, with the villain organisation known as the Paranormal Liberation Front (previously League of Villains) being led by the series’ antagonist Tomura Shigaraki. We also see heroes and students alike joining together to face this great evil.
As seen above, we also have a teaser image showing Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki, leading up to them finally meeting once again and gearing up for the fight of their lives, the likes of which the anime has not seen before!
This was only a small taste of what’s to come, but needless to say the hype is real! Are you looking forward to season 6 of My Hero Academia?
