In the annual event of Shueisha’s Jump Festa, a new teaser and visual were released of the anime adaptation of manga Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraka.
Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraka is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Yuji Kaku which follows the story of Gabimaru, a strong ninja known to many as ‘Gabimaru the Hollow’ due to his supposed lack of emotions and superhuman training to kill. Gabimaru is recruited by Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, a female executioner and master swordsman, as the two of them search for the elixir of immortality together.
The anime adaptation has been revealed to be produced by animation studio MAPPA, who are currently animating some of the biggest titles in the industry, including Attack on Titan Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen, the upcoming Chainsaw Man anime, Yuri!!! On Ice, Banana Fish, Dororo and many more!
Kaori Makita, who has directed episodes of other MAPPA anime projects, will be directing the anime, with Akira Kindaichi in charge of the composition for the anime. Yoshiaki Dewa, who has composed works for Star Wars: Visions will composing the music for the series, and Koji Hisaki is in charge of designing the characters.
The Jump Festa event also revealed that there will be a stage play based on the series which will debut in Fall 2022.
