The first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is out in the open… Like one of Newt’s wonderful creatures. Our first look has raised quite a few questions. Some that are easier to answer than others. What is Dumbledore hiding? How will Newt help the cause? And is it a good idea to give Jacob a wand of his own? Well, we already know the answer to that one. With the long awaited Harry Potter Reunion approaching and with Christmas being the season for a wizarding marathon, this was the perfect time to drop a first look at the third Fantastic Beasts movie. But let’s take a closer look.
Thanks to Warner Bros, we have some fantastic new stills from the new trailer giving us a better look at the engima that is The Secrets of Dumbledore. The most fascinating still is definitely the one featuring our new Grindelwald, played by Madds Mikkelsen. As you’ll notice, he looks drastically different compared to Depp’s version. Wave goodbye to the funky hairstyle, damaged eye, and white moustache and say hello to this handsome devil.
Check out the stills below:
Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
The film features an ensemble cast led by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, two-time Oscar nominee Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Katherine Waterston, and Mads Mikkelsen. The Secrets of Dumbledore will release on April 8th, 2022.
