After an insanely epic trailer, Spidey fans have been craving more. For so long we have clung to every online rumor and leak, but now we are finally receiving something more official. If you loved the trailer, then wait until you see the brand new poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The trailer gave us very subtle teases regarding the overall scale of this multiverse extravaganva. This poster, however, has given us something concrete. While there are still many mysteries, this poster seems to confirm the appearance of four major villains from both Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man and Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man.
Check out the poster below:
Let’s get the obvious out of the way. We have Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock. Well, more specifically we have his tentacles. Interestingly, particular leaks seem to show his tentacles with a red/chrome glow to them. Some have speculated that Spidey’s Iron Spider suit will have a role to play – perhaps the nano suit upgrades Doc’s deadly helpers.
Way in the distance you can actually see Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. It’s somewhat difficult to make out, but it appears as though Goblin will have his iconic suit and glider once again. Just like with Doc Ock, some rumors have suggested that the Green Goblin will receive a costume upgrade of some kind. However, this poster, despite its obscurity, seems to confirm that we’ll see his classic look from 2002.
In terms of characters, Spidey, Goblin, and Doc Ock are the only ones in the poster. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other villains present. As you’ll notice there’s a ‘subtle’ flash of lightning- and it definitely isn’t Thor. This is of course Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 who will once again be played by Jamie Foxx. Finally, we have the suspicious looking spirals in the background. Originally we thought that these were just remnants of the final battle and space-time interfering with physics. Then it finally clicked. Sandman is back.
Can anyone spot a Lizard?
