Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 “Entertainment District Arc” was announced by Ufotable, the studio behind Demon Slayer, to be scheduled for December 5th 2021 and will be available for streaming on Funimation.
It will be broadcast every Sunday on Fuji TV, a Japanese television station, and if it is as long as season 1 (26 episodes) then we can look forward to what is already a highly anticipated Winter anime season with half a year of Demon Slayer content to enjoy!
Season 2 will broadcast on Fuji TV series nationwide from 11:15 pm on Sunday, December 5, and on TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV from 11:30 pm on Saturday, December 11.
The theme song artist was also decided to be Aimer with the opening theme “Reverberation Song.” Aimer has done openings to other popular anime such as Fate/Stay Night and Fire Force. The ending theme is titled “Morning Comes”.
It was announced that Miyuki Sawashiro will be playing the voice of Daki, our main antagonist of the season. In the preview below we can see Daki battling with protagonist Tanjiro alongside some brief clips of other favourite characters from the anime.
However, this was not the only news that Demon Slayer fans have received! For those of you who enjoyed the movie Demon Slayer: Mugen Train (and looking at the amazing reception, everybody seemed to enjoy this film), it was announced that from October 10th 2021 the arc of the Infinity Train will be adapted in 7 animated episodes offering additional content not seen in the manga!
The theme song artist for this will be LiSA, who did the opening song to Demon Slayer season 1 as well as the theme for the film. The opening theme is titled “Akeboshi” and the ending theme titled “Shirogin”.
The first episode will be depicting the mission of Rengoku Kyoujuro on the way to the train on a mission from the Demon Slayer Corps.
A new 1-hour special episode will begin the Season 2 section of the story after the conclusion of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.
How highly anticipated is Demon Slayer for you all? Because, personally, I am counting down the days until it is back on our screens!
