Though Sony Pictures Venom: Let There Be Carnage drops in the US next week, we here in the UK still have two weeks to wait for the much anticipated sequel. But to tide us over Sony has released a number of new clips from the Andy Serkis directed picture.
The first clip features a scene typical of the sequel: Eddie (Tom Hardy) arguing with Venom (also Hardy). The pair have a factious relationship throughout the film and it certainly seems like Eddie is still adjusting to life with a flesh-eating alien’s voice in his head.
In the second clip we catch up with Eddie as he visits Cletus Cassidy (Woody Harrelson) shortly before his planned execution. Cassidy taunts Eddie with details of his past crimes, something which Eddie has been tasked with looking in to. Given what comes next we don’t think this scene ends well at all…
The final clip shifts focus to Naomie Harris as Shriek. Shriek finds herself still locked up in the Ravenscroft Institute. With her sonic powers lethal to anyone in listening range, Shriek is locked up in a sound proof cell where guards are forced to wear layers of protection before entering. What are the chances she’ll bust out of that cell eventually?
