After a little tease from Guillermo del Toro, that held us in anticipation for a day, we finally have the full length trailer for the epic conclusion to the Tales of Arcadia franchise, the full-length animated film Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans.
As was previously revealed back in April when the teaser trailer was released, the Netflix/DreamWorks Animation movie will be released on the service July 21. Check out the trailer above, and scroll below for new images.The new trailer treats us all to a look at our new villain, as well as epic battle sequences and monsters teased from the original trailer, made up of Earthly elements and unlike anything that any previous series in the Tales of Arcadia franchise has shown us.
The trailer was released as del Toro, executive producer Chad Hammes, and directors Andrew L Schmidt, Francisco Ruiz Velasco and Johane Matte were sitting down for a panel at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. We can see elements of del Toro’s previous work shining through in this trailer, such as Pacific Rim (2013).
This brand new poster shows us all of our main characters throughout each trilogy of shows, looking up in both fear and fighting confidence at our villain, the Arcane Order, who according to the Netflix film description are a ‘shadowy enemy threatening to take over their worlds – and reset Earth itself.’
This film will also pack an incredible voice cast, starring the talents of Emile Hirsch, Lexi Medrano, Charlie Saxton, Kelsey Grammer, Alfred Molina, Steven Yeun, Nick Frost, Colin O’Donoghue, Diego Luna, Tatiana Maslany, Cole Sand, Nick Offerman, Fred Tatasciore, Brian Blessed, Kay Bess, Piotr Michael, James Hong, Tom Kenny, Angel Lin, Amy Landecker, Jonathan Hyde, Bebe Wood, Laraine Newman, Grey Griffin and Cheryl Hines.
This will be the fight to end them all, our final and long-awaited conclusion to an epic modern classic coming-of-age fantasy adored by audiences all over the world. Our cast of colourful characters composed of all the returning faces that we know and love from Trollhunters (2016-2018), 3Below (2018-2019) and Wizards (2020), are facing a battle for the very magic that binds them all together! With a little help from trolls, aliens… and giant robots!
