Spike Spiegel, Jet Black and Faye Valentine are set to return to our screens this Fall for Netflix’s live-action Cowboy Bebop series. We know that live-action anime adaptations have had a shaky history. Even more so with Netflix- Sorry Death Note. But could this be be the show that changes it all? Could Cowboy Bebop change the way audiences feel about live-action adaptions. Instead of feeling nervous or scared, could we actually feel excited?
Cowboy Bebop is such a classic and many fans cherish the show so deeply. So people are nervous. But we think it’s safe to say that some of the pressure has alleviated after the latest piece of news. We’re excited to announce that the original composer behind the iconic and brilliant soundtrack is returning to score the Netflix adaptation.
That’s right, Yoko Kano is returning to space to score Cowboy Bebop once again. The wonderful announcement was shared on Twitter yesterday and saw John Cho, Mustafa Shakir and Daniella Pineda, jamming to Yoko Kano’s catchy and unforgettable theme “Tank“.
Are you excited for Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop? Let us know your thoughts in the comments and be sure to check out more anime news. We’ll be sure to keep you posted regarding the show’s release date but the short clip confirmed that the live-action series will be coming “This Fall” which really isn’t that long away. Maybe we’ll get our first look soon?
All that is left to say is… Let’s Jam.
