The wicked Sanderson sisters are returning for a Hocus Pocus sequel which will debut on Disney+ in 2022. Bett Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy will reprise their roles in Hocus Pocus 2. Are you ready for the return of Winifred, Sarah and Mary?
Plans for a sequel first started to circulate in 2019 but Midler, Parker, and Najimy never actually confirmed that they would be returning. With that, the rumors and plans faded. But look where we are now. Production for Hocus Pocus 2 set to begin this fall.

According to Variety, Adam Shankman will not be directing the sequel due to scheduling conflicts but he will remain on the project as an executive producer while he directs Disenchanted.
“As heartbroken as I am that I won’t be able to direct my friends Bette, Sarah Jessica and Kathy in what is sure to be nothing short of a major event for Disney Plus due to scheduling conflicts, I couldn’t be more pleased to be handing over the reins to Anne, who has brought so much laughter and joy into people’s lives with her previous work,” Shankman said.
