Disney’s Disenchanred has officially started production with filming taking place in Ireland. The studio also confirmed the full cast. Amy Adams starred as Giselle in Disney’s Enchanted back in 2007. The film followed Princess Giselle who was originally destined to marry the charming Prince Edward (James Marsden). On the day of their animated wedding, Giselle accidentally arrived in New York City. The animated became live-action in a fantastic twist that charmed audiences all around the world. The film even earned three Best Original Song Nominations at the Academy Awards back in 2007.
The surprise sequel, Disenchanted will see the return of original stars Adams, Marsden, Idina Menzel, and Patrick Dempsey. Disenchanted will also see Maya Rudolph as the film’s antagonist. How she fits into it all is an absolute mystery. Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Oscar Nunez and Kolton Stewart have also joined the cast but their roles are currently not known.
Newcomer Gabriella Baldacchino has also joined as Dempsey’s grown-up daughter.
