Another reveal from yesterday’s First Contact Day was a brand new trailer for Star Trek: Discovery season 4. The upcoming season pits the now Captain Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) against a new threat to the galaxy and looks to be the biggest season of the show to-date.
Unfortunately, as with the other preview videos from the celebration, they’re US-only on YouTube but below you can watch the Twitter version of the trailer.

An official synopsis for the new season reads:
Season four of Star Trek: Discovery finds Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery facing a threat unlike any they’ve ever encountered. With Federation and non-Federation worlds alike feeling the impact, they must confront the unknown and work together to ensure a hopeful future for all.
The latest season began production in November and is set to debut later in 2021.
Star Trek: Discovery is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout, Bryan Fuller’s Living Dead Guy Productions and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Bryan Fuller, Heather Kadin, Gretchen J. Berg & Aaron Harberts, Akiva Goldsman, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers.
