It’s a great weekend for My Hero Academia fans. Not only did we have the premiere episode of the fifth season of the hit show yesterday, but we also had an official announcement about the third movie that was teased some time ago.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission will be the third movie of the franchise and will be coming to Japan this Summer. When the film was first teased we got three different posters showing Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki who were all in some sort of stealth gear. We also got that tagline “He will meet ‘The Three Musketeers”. We still don’t know what that means exactly, but “He” probably refers to the big villain of the film. Who could it be?

While we don’t have all of the answers, the trailer and new visual provided us with a lot of great information. One of the biggest surprises from the new trailer came from Midoriya who actually appears to be on the run. According to the news report, the young hero seems to be in quite a bit of trouble. It’s likely that Midoriya is being framed and that this epic story will uncover who is behind the plot.

You can check out the visual and trailer below:

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is set to launch in Japan on August 6th. As with a large majority of anime films, it’ll probably be quite a while before we get a glimpse of it in our theaters in the UK. But we’ll keep you posted once international dates become available. Just be prepared to wait.

We’ll be sure to keep you informed with any new information about the upcoming film. Let us know your thoughts of the trailer in the comments. You can also check out more anime related news here.

Episode 89 (All Hands on Deck! Class 1-A) of My Hero Academia is available to stream on Crunchyroll now!
