Whilst the eyes of the world have been on Zack Snyder’s Justice League this week, there’s been plenty else going on in the DC Universe. Earlier this week, via TV Line, The CW revealed a heavily comic accurate look for Eclipso. The villain will be playing a role in the upcoming second season of Stargirl.
The Expanse‘s Nick Tarabay is taking on the classic comic book character as a recurring role when the series return this summer. Here’s a first look at Tarabay suited up in costume:
“Eclipso is so terrifying. I’ve always loved the character, and he’s a very different antagonist or villain than the [Injustice Society of America],” Geoff Johns said last year when the casting was announced.
It was previously confirmed that with the change in direction for DC Universe Stargirl will become exclusive to The CW from season 2 onwards. The network recently showed off some new footage in a new promo video.
The show stars Brec Bassinger in the title role. Luke Wilson is playing S.T.R.I.P.E., alongside Joel McHale (Starman), Lou Ferrigno Jr. (Hourman), Henry Thomas (Dr. Mid-Nite), and Brian Stapf (Wildcat). Neil Hopkins (Sportsmaster), Joy Osmanski (Tigress), and Nelson Lee (Dragon King) will portray members of the Injustice Society.
