Fans of the epic anime Demon Slayer can rejoice. While we’re still waiting for the next story arc to be available to us, we do have some exciting news. The upcoming Demon Slayer game, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- Hinokami Keppuutan will be coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S & X, Xbox One, PC sometime this year.
What’s important to bear in mind is that the game will be released in Japan first. So, much like the film, Mugen Train, fans outside of Japan may have to do some serious waiting before they can actually play the game. However, it appears as though some Japanese/anime games tend me somewhat tricky to find. A prime example would be AOT: Wings of Freedom. The Attack on Titan game can actually be found online, usually for a pretty high price.
It looks as though the game will adapt the story of the anime and will reportedly include a 2-on-2 offline and online mode. On top of the announcement, we were also given some key art and some screenshots featuring beloved characters like Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Zenitsu.
You can see all of the screenshots below:
The game doesn’t have a release date as of yet. As previously mentioned, if it does indeed come west it will most likely take quite a while. Although, the good news is that with some screenshots finally being released we may actually get a trailer and gameplay. While we won’t be able to play it, at least we can enjoy what it looks like and how it plays, right?
What do you make of the Demon Slayer game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Since we’re fans of the anime, we’ll be sure to keep you posted about the game. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can all enjoy the next arc of the story either at home or in cinemas.
