It’s been somewhat of a headline generating 24hrs for Elliot Page (formerly Ellen Page). Yesterday the actor posted an emotional letter to Twitter (below) confirming their status as trans.
Today the star of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Juno and The Umbrella Academy has been inundated with support from fellow trans people in and around Hollywood but also from colleagues closer to home.
Both the official Netflix and Umbrella Academy Twitter accounts has replied to Page affirming their commitment to working with him. Netflix has, in turn, confirmed that Page will continue to appear as Vanya in The Umbrella Academy.

In related new, Netflix is reported ensuring that all Page’s content on the platform now reflects her current status, replacing the name Ellen with Elliot.
