The BBC has confirmed that both Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole will be exiting the long-running sci-fi drama during 2020 holiday special Revolution of the Daleks.
Both actors joined the show in 2018 alongside the latest Doctor, Jodie Whittaker. That series of Doctor Who also saw the introduction of Mandip Gill as Yasmin, Gill will remain with the show for series 13.
Speaking of his impending exit, Walsh told the BBC that fans should expect “expect a lot of poignancy” from this year’s special. Cole added that it had been “an honour” to play Ryan.
This year’s holiday special sees the return of one of The Doctor’s most fearsome enemies, the Daleks. Check out the trailer for Revolution of the Daleks in the player below.
Revolution of the Daleks will air on BBC One in the UK on New Year’s Day.
