It has been quite a while since we’ve had anything about the upcoming Holiday Special. The exciting new project was announced back in August this year and we’ve just received our first trailer. So get ready to dive back into Star Wars with a brand new special celebrating Life Day.
Ah Life Day. A day fans thought they had erased from their central processing unit. Well, LEGO is here to remind you that Life Day should be celebrated every year. If you don’t know the story behind Life Day, let us break it down for you.
in 1978, there was a feature-length event aired on TV centered on Star Wars. Sounds pretty great, right? Wrong. The Holiday Special was a very bizarre concoction. It featured cooking tutorials, Chewie’s family, Boba Fett’s animated debut, and a festive solo from Leia. Since then, Life Day brings back… strange memories. But it appears as though LEGO are planning to remedy that with a fun and quirky short dedicated to continuing and revisiting the legacy established by the Skywalkers.
Check out the trailer below!
