There are two things that will always bring a smile to our faces. One of them is Star Wars. The other is LEGO. When you combine the two together, you get a wonderful elixir that grants everlasting happiness. LEGO Star Wars is happiness in the form of little blocks.
Disney+ has done a wonderful job of bringing some of the LEGO stories to the public. If you haven’t watched Droid Tales then we highly suggest you get to it. Go on, chop chop. However, and this is a big however, Star Wars will be celebrating Life Day once again.
Some fans will know what that means. Life Day was introduced in the first Christmas Special back in 1978 which was absolutely bizarre and slightly scary. We can’t hate it too much, it did introduce the world to Boba Fett. But in the same breath, we were introduced to Chewbacca’s haunting family and a man who drinks through his head… and that is just the light stuff.
Good vs Evil
Fans will be able to celebrate Life Day yet again with less horror (hopefully). The new Holiday Special is set after The Rise of Skywalker and sees Rey and BB-8 on a mission to learn more about the Force. When she journey’s into a mysterious Jedi temple, Rey is taken on an adventure through Star Wars visiting famous moments from the films. She’ll bump into characters like Luke, Vader, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and other iconic characters from the Skywalker saga. But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?
We are all on board. Despite no Star Wars film this Christmas we do have the Skywalker Saga LEGO video game and now this fun Holiday special. It may be a slightly odd year but at least there are still things to look forward to.
The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special will premiere on Disney+ on 17th November. Will you be checking out the Holiday Special? Let us know in the comments below.
