Fans of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit will be able to experience the wonders of Middle Earth like never before. Lord of the Rings star Sean Austin, Samwise Gamgee himself, announced that the legendary trilogies will be getting the 4K treatment.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced today that The Hobbit Trilogy and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, from Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson, will be available for the first time on 4K UHD on 30th November.
So what can we expect? Well, here is a break down of versions that will be available and their current retail price. We hope you guys are taking notes, Christmas is just around the corner.
- The Hobbit Trilogy Ultra HD Blu-ray – £75
- The Hobbit Trilogy Ultra HD Blu-ray Steelbook – £100
- The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Ultra HD Blu-ray – £75
- The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Ultra HD Blu-ray Steelbook – £100
These collections will be available in select stores from November 30th and will be available from digital retailers from December 1st. You can pre-order them from Warner’s website.
