It’s been a while since we heard any news on Warner Bros. and DC Comics plans for Green Lantern on the small screen. But now we’re hearing that HBO Max has given the series a green light and appointed Seth Grahame-Smith (The LEGO Batman Movie) as showrunner.
The upcoming series is slated to focus on Alan Scott, Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, and Simon Baz and will feature Sinestro and Kilowog alongside a number of original characters.
The series will be co-written and executive produced by Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim (Arrow). Greg Berlanti and his Berlanti Productions will serve as producers.
No premiere date for Lantern has been set as yet.
