Jim Lee confirms that news on DC UNIVERSE is coming this week

DC Comics Publisher, Jim Lee, confirms that news on the future of the DC Universe subscription service is coming this week.

The future of the DC Universe subscription service has been linger in the air for sometime. when we last got news it was Publisher Jim Lee confirming that DC Universe programming would be moving to HBO Max.

Now, in the wake of last weekends hugely successful second DC FanDome event, Lee has promised that news is coming.

Lee took to Twitter to congratulate the cast and crew of DC Universe and HBO Max original series Doom Patrol on their season 3 renewal. In the same tweet he asked fans to stay tuned for “big news on @thedcuniverse and its exciting future!”

DC Universe launched in September 2018 to huge fanfare. The platform launched a number of live-action and animated series including Titans, Doom Patrol, Young Justice and the short lived Swamp Thing.

With Doom Patrol moving exclusively to HBO Max and Stargirl moving to The CW that just leaves the futures of Young Justice, Titans and Harley Quinn to be determined.

Many are expecting those shows to move to HBO Max with DC Universe becoming a subscription comic book community service offering fans access to the full DC library.
