Due to launch September 18 exclusively on Netflix is the suspenseful new drama series Ratched from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan.
Ratched tells the origin story of asylum nurse Mildred Ratched who arrives in Northern California looking for employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. Mildred presents herself as the perfect and dedicated nurse, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred’s stylish exterior hides a growing darkness that has long been smoldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born.
The story of Ratched was inspired by the legendary character Nurse Ratched from the iconic film One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and was created by Evan Romansky.
