Though the cast and crew of Mat Reeves’ The Batman only just got back to work, it seems the film has hit another speed bump. Several bit trades are reporting that the Warner Bros. production has once again had to halt filming.
This time the problem appeared to be that a member of the crew had tested positive for Covid-19. Now it is being reported that crew member is none other than Batman himself, Robert Pattinson.
Speaking to Variety, a member of the crew said “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.”
With Pattinson reportedly out of action it could push filming back by another fortnight whilst he isolates and recovers. For now we’ll just keep watching the DC FanDome trailer…
Written and directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman is set to star Robert Pattinson in the title role, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Paul Dano as Edward Nashton.
The film is set to hit cinemas on October 1, 20201.
