The long rumoured Batman: The Long Halloween animated movie has finally been confirmed by Warner Bros. Animation.
This weekend’s DC FanDome event had been sent to hold the world premiere of Superman: Man of Tomorrow followed by a panel with the cast and crew. That panel instead debuted exclusively on IGN following the news that FanDome was being split in to two events.
During that event the team from Warner Bros. Animation has confirmed a number of animated projects which are set to debut in 2021.
First up is Batman: Soul of the Dragon for which we have already seen some preview art and cast list being released. The second release of 2021 will be an original story called Justice Society: World War II, we have no details on the story of the cast but we know the film will release in spring.
Following this it has been confirmed that Batman: The Long Halloween will be released as a two-part film in the same manner as The Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman/Reign of the Supermen.
The first part will release in the summer with part two following in the autumn. Casting news is set to follow a little later on this one but we can’t wait to hear who will be taking on the role of Batman for this epic storyline!
