Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was a pleasant surprise for many anime fans. It had everything going for it. It had heart, fun, drama, and insane action sequences. Let’s face it, it was brilliant. But it is important to recognize where it came from, particularly with the new movie coming. Demon Slayer was written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge and it has recently just reached its climax at 21 volumes. So now there is an ending and we hope Ufotable will see it through until the end.
Now, fans can look forward to the brand new movie which will follow Tanjiro on his next adventure. A brand new trailer dropped yesterday for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train and what a treat it is.
Check out the trailer below.
Unlike other anime films like My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising which detached itself from the main series, this upcoming feature will actually cover events from the manga. The sequel to the hit series will cover the “Mugen Train” story arc which spans from chapter 54 to chapter 69. So if you want to follow Demon Slayer then this movie is an absolute must.
The film follows Tanjiro and his friends from the Demon Slayer Crops as they accompany the Flame Hashira- Kyōjurō Rengoku. Together they investigate a series of mysterious disappearances occurring inside a train. But things soon take a turn for the worst when they come face to face with one of the Twelve Kizuki, Emmu. The Twelve Kizuki are among the most powerful Demons ever and they are all controlled by the Demon Lord, Muzan Kibutsuji.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train is scheduled for release in Japan this October. However, it will be released in North America sometime in 2021- hopefully we don’t have to wait too long. This is an arc that cannot be missed so keep an eye out for more updates.
