MARVEL’S AVENGERS reveals Hawkeye

Marvel's Avengers (Square Enix)

Originally, fans thought that the Avenger with the deadly aim was excluded from the Avengers party when the game was first announced. However, it has now been announced that Hawkeye will be joining Marvel’s Avengers.

Revealed at the second Marvel’s Avengers War Table stream, Hawekeye will be a post-launch playable character that is equipped with an extensive arsenal. The archer’s presence will also bring along some new story missions that can be played in solo and in co-op.

This version of Hawkeye appears to be heavily based on the My Life as a Weapon run written by Matt Fraction and David Aja. With some minor differences here and there, the design looks to be based on a variant look designed by Adi Granov which shows Hawkeye with a shaven head.

Check out the reveal.

If you pay close attention to the end of the teaser, you can hear faint dog barks. This could confirm a very special appearance from one of Marvel’s greatest four-legged heroes- Pizza Dog!

From what was discussed, it seems that Hawkeye will be part of a group of heroes that will appear post-campaign. After finishing the main story, players will be transported to the “ever-present” Avengers Initiative. In this part of the game, players will be able to explore a renovated helicarrier where you can expand your team and protect Earth from an array of new threats.
