BOOM! Studios is riding high on a huge wave of success with its Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise. The publisher recently announce it is relaunching the franchise with two new series: Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers.
The new series are part of an effort to further widen the universe by focussing on not one but two teams of Rangers going forwards. The Mighty Morphin team, based in Angel Grove on Earth, who fans will recognise from the Mighty Morphin TV series. The second team is the Omega Rangers made up of original Rangers Trini, Zack and Jason.
Over the weekend BOOM! took part in the San Diego Comic-Con@Home virtual event and held a morphinominal panel to update fans on the franchise.
A star-studded lineup of talent including Ryan Parrott (Mighty Morphin, Power Rangers), Marco Renna (Power Rangers), Matthew Erman, Giuseppe Cafaro, and Francesco Segala (Power Rangers: Sins of the Future) along with Matthew Levine (editor, BOOM! Studios), Dafna Pleban (senior editor, BOOM! Studios) and Steve Cardenas (“Rocky DeSantos” on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) to discuss the future of Power Rangers in comics!
The panel was moderated by Erin Cahill who fans will remember for her Pink Ranger in Power Rangers Time Force.
