Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow is currently gearing up to go back to work on the dino-epic. With news recently hitting the press about the lengths that Universal Pictures is going to in order to ensure a “Covid Safe” set.
It seems that Universal is incredibly happy with Trevorrow’s work as it appears he will be remaining with the studio for his next film.
Deadline is reporting that Trevorrow has signed on to direct a new film based on the famously underwater kingdom of Atlantis. The film, also called Atlantis, will be produced by his company, Metronome Film Co.
Little is known about the project at this stage. Dante Harper (Edge Of Tomorrow and Rogue One) is currently working on the script which the trade describes as “Unlike previous incarnations of the mythical city as an underwater kingdom, Trevorrow’s Atlantis is set on a lost continent in the Indian Ocean between Africa, India and Oceania. It is a multicultural civilization with its own advanced technology.”
No news on a production window or release schedule for the film as yet.
