CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it is delaying the upcoming release of open-world game Cyberpunk 2077. Currently due for release in September, the game will now hit stores on November 19, 2020.
This latest change marks the second delay for Cyberpunk 2077, whose initial release date of April 16 was pushed back to September 2020 to allow for further refinements.
“At the time we are writing these words, Cyberpunk 2077 is finished both content and gameplay-wise,” CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwiński and head of studio Adam Badowski wrote in a statement. “The quests, the cutscenes, the skills and items; all the adventures Night City has to offer — it’s all there. But with such an abundance of content and complex systems interweaving with each other, we need to properly go through everything, balance game mechanics and fix a lot of bugs.”
Cyberpunk 2077 lands on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 19, 2020.
