Matt Reeves’ The Batman has caused quite the commotion with the unveiling of the Batsuit, Bat-Bike and, most recently, the Batmobile. With production well underway, the next question to ask is how long will this new Batman film take to shoot?
It appears as though Zoe Kravitz has given us the answer.
Appearing on the Questlove Supreme podcast to discuss her Hulu series High Fidelity, the inevitable topic of Batman came up. Of course it did. This is an exciting time for superhero fans and we’re begging for more.
Kravitz was asked about what the production is like. Kravitz responded by calling the shooting “intense” before revealing that shooting started “a couple of weeks ago”. She also revealed that she spent 2 months in London prior to film in order to get in shape and train for the fight scenes.
According to Kravitz, the shoot will carry on until the Summer. Considering that production officially began at the end of January, it looks as though The Batman will have a very long shooting schedule- potentially 5 months if we consider that Summer starts in June.
Since Matt Reeves seems to enjoy giving fans little teases here and there, it is highly likely that we will get even more looks as the production continues. Make sure you keep an eye out!
The Batman is due out in cinemas in June 25th, 2021. It will star Pattinson as Batman and Kravitz as Catwoman.
