There’s no denying that Knives Out was a huge success with both critics and fans. The Rain Johnson film holds a 97% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92% audience score.
Johnson has been outspoken about the fact he would like to continue the franchise by telling more stories starring Daniel Craig’s charming Detective Benoit Blanc.
Overnight Deadline has reported that Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer made an official announcement green lighting a sequel during the company’s third-quarter earnings call. It is said he also hinted that production on the follow-up could start very soon.
