Exclusive STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER D23 preview gallery

In case you’ve been living under a rock since the weekend you will have heard all about “Dark Rey” in the latest preview for J.J. Abrams Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The short preview formed part of a look at the overall Star Wars franchise which was shown off to whet our appetites for the film’s second full trailer which is due in the coming weeks.

The film will see the return of Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), and Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix).

Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) will also all return to reprise their iconic roles from previous films.

The late Carrie Fisher will appear via previously unreleased archive footage.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
