Master of the motion capture, Andy Serkis, has confirmed that he is going to be directing the upcoming Venom 2 for Sony Pictures.
There were rumours last week that Serkis was close to signing a deal with the studio to take on the sequel to 2018’s Venom. That movie was directed by Ruben Fleischer.
Serkis shared the below image on Twitter to confirm the news.

The story has also been confirmed by THR.
Serkis has previous directed Breathe and Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, he also worked as a second unit director on The Hobbit.
