Consider me as having been out of the loop on this one, but it’s been revealed today that fan favourite “Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island” is getting a sequel this September, with “Scooby Doo” Return to Zombie Island“.
In this new movie (and in true horror fashion), the mystery machine gang win a contest for an all expenses paid trip to a tropical island, not knowing they are returning to Zombie Island.
Arriving on the new island they recognize the hotel as being the location of one of their old cases, and funnily enough, the zombies start to return.
“Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island” was a favorite of mine growing up, and while I haven’t stayed up to date with Scooby and the gang, I will have to check out this upcoming sequel.
The new movie is set to release digitally on September 3, and physically on disk October 1.
