Following Mighty Morphin Power Rangers successful crossover with Justice League and countless TMNT crossovers the two franchise giants are set to share a comic book series later in 2019.
BOOM! Studios has shared artist Dan Mora’s take on the mashup on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cover. The five-issue series hits comic book stores in December 2019.
The miniseries will be written by Ryan Parrot (Power Rangers: Necessary Evil) and illustrated by Simone di Meo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).
The synopsis reads, “The Power Rangers arrive in New York City to find Tommy Oliver – AKA The Mighty Morphin Green Ranger – but soon discover he’s joined forces with the villainous Shredder and the Foot Clan! As the Rangers are sent reeling by this betrayal, they’re confronted by another (fr)enemy – the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Can these heroes find a way to work together to defeat the bad guys and save the world from total destruction?!”
The Ninja Turtles appeared in an episode of Power Rangers in Space all the way back in 1998 during the time of the live action Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation show.
