It’s been quite a while since we had any news on Star Trek 4. When we last heard the movie was struggling to move towards production having lost stars Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth during contract negotiations.
In a new article with Variety, Chris Hemsworth sheds some light on why he really stepped away from the production.
“I didn’t feel like we landed on a reason to revisit that yet,” Hemsworth revealed, confirming rumours it was the script and not the money which saw him step away. “I didn’t want to be underwhelmed by what I was going to bring to the table.”
Though we knew very little about the sequel which never was it was strongly rumoured to see the younger Captain Kirk team up with his father thanks to the mystery of time travel.
Are you sad this movie never made it to production? Where would you like to see the Star Trek franchise go next?
