HELLBOY ends box office run with $40m worldwide

Hellboy (Lionsgate)

Neil Marshall and David Harbour’s Hellboy has officially closed its tenure at the box office.

The movie, which reportedly cost around $50m to produce, faced stiff competition being released directly between Warner Bros. Shazam! and Disney’s Avengers: Endgame.

But just how did the movie fare at the worldwide box office?

According to figures from BoxOfficeMojo the Lionsgate release made only $21.9m in North America. To boot the movie was only able to make around $18m internationally.

With its run at the end Hellboy has left theatres after grossing only $40m worldwide meaning it is safe to say a sequel is not on the cards.
