Netflix releases first trailer for THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY

Netflix has finally lifted the lid on its upcoming adaption of The Umbrella Academy. The series, adapted from the Dark Horse comic by Gerard Way, will debut its 10-episode first season in February.
The series will be based on the first volume of the comic in which children with special abilities are born all over the world. Sir Reginald Hargreeves adopts six of them to create the Umbrella Academy, a team of young superheroes.
Fast forward to years later, and Hargreeves, the children’s “father” is dead. Now, the adopted brothers and sisters are reunited, just as the coming threat of an apocalypse arrives. And they only have a very short amount of time before they can prevent it from happening.
The Umbrella Academy stars Ellen Page, Mary J. Blige, Tom Hopper, Cameron Britton, Robert Sheehan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Adam Godley, Aidan Gallagher, David Castañeda, John Magaro, Ashley Madekwe and Colm Feore.
The series drops on Netflix February 18, 2019.
