HBO debuts first footage from GAME OF THRONES final season, WATCHMEN

The Golden Globe Awards ceremony is prime advertising space in North America. We’ve already seen Marvel drop new footage for Captain Marvel during the ceremony but HBO also got in on the action.

The premium cable network used the ceremony to debut the first footage from Game of Thrones finale season as well as teasing its Watchmen TV series.

Watchmen shows off some teaser footage featuring Jeremy Irons as well as a first look at what appears to be Rorschach. There’s plenty of weird and wonderful masked characters on show in the fleeting glimpse.

Hopefully a full trailer will be released soon.

It’s sure to be Game of Thrones which catches all the headlines however. The short scene, which you can see below, shows the arrival of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) at Winterfell. Alongside Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), we see Daenerys’ first interaction with Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark.

Game of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams. The series airs on HBO in North America and Sky Atlantic here in the UK.

Watchmen stars Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon. The series has been developed for TV by Damon Lindleof.
