The final episode of Doctor Who season 11 airs tomorrow. With a special episode set for New Year’s Day that currently marks the end of Jodie Whittaker’s time as The Doctor.
But in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter the actress has confirmed that she WILL be returning for the next season.
“I really can’t wait to step back in and get to work again,” said Whittaker. “It’s such an incredible role. It’s been an extraordinary journey so far and I’m not quite ready to hand it over yet.”

Doctor Who airs Sunday nights on BBC One in the UK and BBC America in North America. Time slots may vary.
