Sony Pictures Venom is celebrating another successful weekend at the box office. Though overall the movie fell to third place in North America it was able to take another $18.1M to bring it’s domestic total to $171.1M.
Following a similarly successful weekend internationally the worldwide gross has now topped $460M. The movie remains the number one movie internationally where it is currently open in 65 markets. Over the course of the weekend it pulled in a further $32.3M to take its international total to $290.7M.
With it’s November release date in China looming it seems there’s no stopping Venom at this point.
One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
Venom stars Tom Hardy in the lead role. Supporting cast includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) from a script by Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner. Executive producers are David Householter, the legendary Stan Lee and Kelly Marcel.
