Venom is finally coming to The Middle Kingdom! It has been announced overnight that movie will make its way to Chinese shores from November 9, 2018.
The film, which was 25% financed by Chinese company Tencent, is expected to being marketing as early as today. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting the company will lead an “aggressive” digital marketing campaign that will utilise China’s popular messaging and social media service WeChat, the Tencent Video platform, the movie ticketing app Maoyan.
The movie has current amassed an impressive $378.1M at the worldwide box office. Many pundits expect the films gross to grow dramatically once the film opens in China.
One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
Venom stars Tom Hardy in the lead role. Supporting cast includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) from a script by Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner. Executive producers are David Householter, the legendary Stan Lee and Kelly Marcel.
