From the outset fans have been clamouring for Venom to be R-rated. The characters own violent nature in comics easily lends itself to a horror-inspired, gore fest.
Now a new rumour from Variety has appeared to possibly burst your bubble.
According to their sources the movie will sadly be released at the classic PG-13 rating. This is because Sony Pictures execs are hoping the film will prove to be a huge success. Their assumption appears to be a successful PG-13 Venom will convince Marvel to allow him to mix with Tom Holland’s MCU based Spider-Man.
As with every rumour we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt. This news is unconfirmed for now!
