We told you it was coming. Now we have news that Avengers: Infinity War has officially crossed the $2 billion landmark at the worldwide box office.
By Tuesday the film surpassed $655.7m at the domestic box office and $1.34 billion internationally which left the film at $1.99 billion.
Forbes has gone ahead and made the news official as the film undoubtedly made enough on money on Tuesday to cross the finish line.
Whilst the global picture is very exciting many critics have noted the film is still around $40m short of matching Black Panther at the domestic box office.

Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay. “Avengers: Infinity War” releases in U.S. theaters on May 4, 2018.
