New VENOM trailer and poster released by Sony

The veil of mystery surrounding Sony Pictures Venom has finally begun to lift. First star Tom Hardy confirmed that a new trailer would screen at CinemaCon. Then overnight several low quality leaks of the footage began to hit the web.

Now Sony has officially released the first full trailer for the film and finally we get a look at the titular character in action!

Though much of the films storyline remains a mystery we do get a better idea of how Venom will appear. It remains to be seen how much screen time the character will get. Rumours still point to only a few brief appearances by the full black suit.

One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.

Venom stars Tom Hardy in the lead role. Supporting cast includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) from a script by Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner. Executive producers are David Householter, the legendary Stan Lee and Kelly Marcel.
