During the final moments of 2016s X-Men: Apocalypse we saw the cast donning some very comics accurate costumes. With all those cast members returning for the next entry in the franchise fans have been wondering whether those costume would also return.
A new set photo (snapped by Xavier Files on Twitter) show that those costumes have had a further upgrade. In the photo below we get a faraway look at Mystique, Jean, Cyclops, Beast, Storm, Nightcrawler and Quicksilver in simple blue and yellow X outfits.
With Simon Kinberg behind the camera it looks like we’re getting Frank Quietly and Grant Morrison inspired costumes from New X-Men!
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is being directed by Simon Kinberg. James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender are confirmed to return to the roles of Charles Xavier, Mystique and Magneto respectively. Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Olivia Munnm Nicholas Hoult, Alexandra Shipp and Kodi Smit-McPhee will also return.
The film is due for release on November 2, 2018.
