Justice League has completed its second weekend at the box office. The news is once again mixed. At home in the United States the film made an estimated $40.7M over the weekend. That’s a 57% drop over its first week.
Though that drop sounds sheer it’s lower than the drops of Batman Superman: Dawn of Justice (-69%), Suicide Squad (-67%) but higher than the 43% drop that Wonder Woman faced in its second weekend. Its domestic total is now $171.5M.
The good news is the film is holding on much stronger internationally. Playing in 66 markets the film was able to take another $72.2M. China continues to lead the way although the film has fallen in to second place behind Disney’s Coco.
The international total for Justice League now sits at $309.8M. Worldwide the gross is now $481.3M. Not what Warner Bros. was hoping for overall but not a disaster.
